Accessibility statement
Template. Review by a licensed attorney before production use. Bracketed items must be completed by the center.
Our commitment
[CENTER LEGAL NAME] intends the OpsCore Childcare Management portal to be usable by every staff member and parent, including people who use screen readers, magnification, keyboard-only navigation or other assistive technology. The target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Conformance status
Partially conformant, self-assessed. No independent accessibility audit and no assistive-technology test pass has been completed. This statement will be revised when that work is done.
What has been done
- Pages use real headings, lists, tables, forms and buttons, so their structure is exposed to assistive technology.
- Sign-in fields have labels tied to their inputs, so a screen reader announces what each field is for.
- The policy pages open with a skip link that jumps past the repeated navigation.
- The layout reflows to phone width and to browser zoom, and text is real text, never an image of text.
- A light and a dark color scheme follow the device setting.
Known limitations
- Color contrast has not been measured across every screen.
- Keyboard-only use has not been tested end to end.
- Uploaded documents are only as accessible as the files the center uploads.
Report a barrier
If part of the portal is hard to use with your technology, tell [ACCESSIBILITY CONTACT NAME, EMAIL, PHONE]. Describe the page and what happened. The center will respond within [NUMBER] business days and provide the information another way in the meantime.
